Where a defect must be reported to an enforcing authority under applicable legislation, we may process and disclose relevant information to fulfil that legal obligation.
We do not currently send general unsolicited email newsletters. We will update this notice if our marketing practices change.

- Property owners, managing agents and relevant duty holders;
- Insurers, brokers or policy administrators;
- Lift maintenance providers and other contractors, where instructed or necessary;

- Other parties where disclosure is required by law.
We do not sell personal information.
7. International transfers
Some of our technology and cloud-service providers may process information outside the UK.
Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an approved UK addendum to standard contractual clauses.
8. How long we retain information
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary. Our normal retention periods are:
- General enquiries: up to two years after the last meaningful contact;
- Client, examination, report and contractual records: normally seven years after completion of the service or end of the client relationship;
- Financial and taxation records: normally six years after the relevant financial year;
- Supplier records: normally seven years after the relationship ends;
- Website analytics and logs: for the periods stated in our Cookie Policy or applicable system settings.
Information may be retained longer where necessary for a legal claim, regulatory requirement, insurance matter or ongoing investigation.

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Access is restricted to people and service providers who need the information for legitimate business purposes.
